Ride On is now operating on an appointment only basis to help manage demand and keep everyone safe. Please do not visit the workshop to buy a bike without an appointment, as we cannot guarantee staff will be on site or free to help. You do not need an appointment to donate a bike but we recommend emailing to check first. For enquiries, email [email protected] Thank you.

Dr Bike

If you want to make sure that your bike is safe to ride then our Dr Bike checks are the answer. Operated by one of our friendly Ride On mechanics, we can come to your place of work, organisation, community group, cycle club or a group of friends to check over your bikes.

How does it work?

A trained bicycle mechanic comes to your location, makes safety checks and may perform a few basic adjustments.

They will fill out a card for each bike and note if there are safety or maintenance issues, so that the rider knows exactly what is needed and what to ask for at your local bike shop.

If the bike has easily solved problems, we might suggest the owner comes to one of our Bring Your Own Bike sessions or one of our regular Maintenance Courses.

A Dr. Bike session is £200 for 4 hours on site, £40 per additional hour, for one mechanic within ten miles of Ride On. If you are located outside that, please email us to discuss your requirements. We offer reductions for charities and organisations that share our vision of a cleaner, healthier and more active Exeter.
