Whether you are looking for your child’s first bike, or an upgrade when they outgrow their existing bike, it is important to choose the right bike size. While it may be tempting to get a bike they can “grow in to”, a too big or too small bike can make an already tricky skill even harder!
With kid’s bikes, the key to sizing is wheel size. Take a look at our size guide below to get a rough idea of the size of wheel which should fit your child.
|Height of Child (cm)||Age||Wheel Size (Inches)|
|98-112cm||3 – 5 yrs||12”|
|105-117cm||4 – 6 yrs||14”|
|112-125cm||5 – 7 yrs||16”|
|117-129cm||6 – 8 yrs||18”|
|125-136cm||7 – 9 yrs||20”|
|130-141cm||8 – 11 yrs||24”|
If your child is between wheel sizes then it is usually best to opt for the larger size.
The best way to ensure that a bike is the correct fit is to try it out. Our aim is to always ensure the correct fit and comfort of the bike, so it meets the needs of the customer.
